Imagine there is a small vehicle that is economical and energy efficient.
Imagine it comes from resource-saving and climate-neutral production.
Imagine it is locally made and completely recyclable.
Imagine it is made to the highest moral and ethical standards.
Imagine it's made of such high-quality materials that it practically lasts forever.
Imagine it being built so simply that you can repair it yourself, or your bike shop can.
Imagine, it looks as if this vehicle has been around forever.
Imagine it is so pretty and timelessly beautiful that fashions and trends cannot harm it.
Imagine it becoming more and more beautiful over the years - like patina on wood and leather.
Imagine that it doesn't really get any more sustainable than that.
Imagine, it's cheap too.
Imagine you have a SNØRRE Microcar.
Europe is undergoing a mobility transition.
Combustion engines and heavy electric vehicles are energy madness and not in keeping with the times, especially in an urban context.
More and more people are realising this. Rail travel is increasingly perceived as an important CO₂-reducing alternative to owning a car.
On short journeys, however, many people do not see themselves using public transportation or beeing exposed to the weather on a two-wheeler.
The desire for weather-protected private transport can be fulfilled with two-seater electric light vehicles, so-called microcars.
These are energy-efficient, space-saving and inexpensive to purchase and operate. Unfortunately, the microcars currently available are a disaster from the point of view of the ‘European Green Deal’ for sustainable consumption.
They are not very easy to repair, are made entirely of composite plastics that are difficult to recycle and are only designed for a useful life of a few years - in other words, they are anything but sustainable. In addition, microcars are often labelled as unsafe, as safety concepts are dispensed with for cost reasons.
The solution is a likeable, energy-efficient lightweight vehicle with the following characteristics:
- long service life due to repair-friendly design
- Long service life thanks to the use of high-quality and sustainable materials
- Long service life thanks to timeless design
- Safety concept
- Independence from charging infrastructure thanks to exchangeable batteries
With the SNØRRE, we are focussing on a timeless design that will not go out of fashion even after decades.
This makes a longer service life likely, an important prerequisite on the way to real sustainability.
We use high-quality, resource-conserving and durable materials that are not affected by the ravages of time, but on the contrary, the patina, the traces of age and use ennoble the vehicle.
We have consistently thought functionality through to the end - from the chassis and interchangeable batteries to the convertible body - everything is simply and clearly structured and designed for decades of use.
Reduction to the essentials and the modular design simplify repairs and enable easy adaptation to advances in technology, such as new drive or energy storage systems.
Safety is not neglected either. Every SNØRRE is equipped with an airbag system.
This results in a huge range of possible applications for the SNØRRE.
A sustainable and forward-looking approach for a modern vehicle.
Newly conceived micromobility.
SNØRRE Microcar.
A green project.
There are many aspects of modern life in which our SNØRRE is a useful helper
can be...here is a small selection:
Private use:
Way to work/university/school etc, short journeys, shopping, fits in everyone Parking space, as L6e version free from 15 years of age with class AM driving license
Sharing:
ideal sharing vehicle in urban areas, very robust and simple to use
Mediterranean area:
Ideally suited for narrow streets/alleys, rough terrain, Slopes, short wheelbase, high ground clearance
Vacation:
Sharing/rental vehicle for holiday resorts, hotels, holiday apartments, Excursions, beach, nature, sport Great driving pleasure thanks to the convertible feeling and soft suspension chassis
Delivery/Last Mile:
Manoeuvrable delivery car for all kinds of deliveries (parcels/drinks/ Food) Continuous use possible thanks to replaceable batteries
Municipal vehicle:
Small quiet helper for hospitals/horticulture/parks/ Sports fields etc.
Business:
Functional small vehicle for crafts & service (care service, caretaker etc.) Sales vehicle (food truck/coffee), the modular design enables all kinds of special structures
Alternative light vehicles such as microcars are of great importance in driving forward the mobility transition in Europe.
In 2019, while searching for suitable small vehicles ourselves, we were curious why the range of microcars in EU classes L6e and L7e is so small and why the issue of sustainability does not yet play a role here.
We quickly realised that a previously completely unnoticed field of possibilities was opening up.
In 2020, we started working on our green project SNØRRE Microcar.
The basic idea behind our considerations was that a vehicle's good carbon footprint is directly linked to its long service life.
Sustainability in vehicle construction must not begin with the use of climate-neutral materials and an efficient electric drive, but the pursuit of a particularly long product service life must play a central role.
To achieve this, it is essential that the vehicle is fit for purpose, reduced to the essentials and easy to repair - as well as being safe, of course.
A long-lasting product must not only have a high-quality finish, but must also be able to withstand devaluation due to fast-moving fashion trends.
This requires a timeless design, a shape that will still be accepted decades later.
With this in mind, we have constructed and designed our SNØRRE - also inspired by the lines of popular classic vehicles.
For us, however, the SNØRRE is just the beginning. We are planning a range of appliances for everyday use, such as household appliances. Here, too, the highest quality, ease of repair and timeless design will ensure that they last for decades.
The time has come.
And the right time is now.

“True sustainability is directly related to longevity and useful life of a technical product. A long product lifespan is initially dependent on high-quality materials/manufacturing and a high ease of repair. However, these efforts are futile if the product design is not up to par, can't withstand devaluation through fast-moving fashion trends. If the design is purely contemporary oriented, the product will be worthless within a few years - despite the best functionality. Only a timeless design ensures a long product life even possible. A timeless design is the key to true sustainability.”
